Joy Ride

Palace in denial

After the ZTE deal controversy erupted, Malacanang has come out swinging against the involvement of FG and some government officials in the attempted bribery of the said project. Statements from Arroyo's supporters opposes each other as they give their own stories and explanations about the allegation.

Are the President’s men arguing reasonably?

In a radio interview of Pres. Arroyo last week, she admitted that she knew about the problem before signing the contract for the NBN-ZTE project but because of the very short notice she cannot cancel it right away. She didn't mention what the problem was and it's only when Secretary Golez made a slip of the tongue that there had been an attempted bribery. Contradicting to Ermita's previous statement that there's no problem with the project.

The insinuation that the Palace is in denial led the people to shout and fight for the truth. This is the reason why people are making noises through rallies. We want the truth and as long as the government ignores this issue, and keep those government officials involved to testify about their knowledge especially Sec. Romulo Neri, this will never be put to rest.

************

Neri holds key information on the ZTE deal because the proposals for the NBN project were reviewed by NEDA during his term. On September 5, Neri was reported to have been offered P200-million bribe to support the NBN project with ZTE.

Ang sa akin lang...

Image from Philippine Daily Inquirer
Internet Edition
21 February 1999

Merong may gusto at may ayaw.

Ano nga ba ang People Power?

What Neri Is Too Afraid to Tell the Public, and Why

In the past few weeks J-Lo better known as Engr. Jun Lozada had been very controversial and popular due to his connection with the NBN-ZTE Scam. He had revealed lots of informations about the ZTE deal that should have been heard from CHED Chairman Romulo Neri. I know that most of us are looking forward for more revelations in the days to come. And since it is the best interest of most people to know what is the truth behind the so-called Scam, we should take part in praying and hoping for the truth to come out.

There was an article posted at Pinoy Press saying that J-Lo wrote an email to Vicente “Enteng” Romano III of the Black and White Movement sometime in October. It's about his knowledge regarding the NBN-ZTE Deal. The said article was entitled What Neri Is Too Afraid to Tell the Public, and Why. They claim that the statements here came from J-Lo but it has not been authenticated nor signed by him. It's up to us to judge if we believe it or not.

Saludo ako!

Been watching TV and listening to the radio the whole day just to hear the revelations of Engr. Jun Lozada about the ZTE scam. I admire his sense of nationality!

Actually it is true when he say that He will not gain anything but would even loose a lot in telling the truth. I can see his mixed emotions and sincerity.

I hope that this will result in a meaningful end.
Engr. Lozada is not just an admiration,
he also serves as an inspiration
and because of that I salute him!

What's happening?

BLAST

I slept late last night watching news about the Batasan Blast. Whew! What's happening to us? Few weeks ago it was Glorietta now it's Batasan Pambansa where Congress sessions are held. Sometimes I'm thinking that there isn't really a safe place to go today. Bomb Threats are everywhere especially now that Christmas is coming. This really affects the image of our nation to other countries. A sad story especially to those who were affected by the tragedy, and to the families who have lost their loved ones.

No Remittance Issue

Before All Soul's Day I've received several emails about the NO REMITTANCE POLICY of the OFW on Now. 1 and 2. They called to all OFWs not to send money here in the Phil during those dates to see if it will affect the Dollar Rate that is going down tremendously. Sad to say that the effect was nothing...

I remember the first time I received money from my husband (a US resident)---2 years ago--- the rate of Dollar to Peso was 56:1. Now it dropped to 43 and some even say that it may reach as low as 39 on December due to large remittances during this season. Commodities are getting high but the remittances are getting low. How can survival be possible for families who are dependent to their loved ones working abroad if the money they are receiving is decreasing? What more to those who are just working here? No wonder why rallies are everywhere... People are always trying to reach out for their sentiments but the government pays no attention to it.

What's happening nowadays? Things are just getting worst...
